REM, on behalf of the owners of The Shard, has confirmed a new letting to The Kraft Heinz Company (“Kraft Heinz”) that will see the global food products supplier relocate its European and UK headquarters from Hayes, Middlesex, to the iconic vertical city in London Bridge.
Kraft Heinz has agreed a 12-year lease to take over 38,000 sq ft of space on Levels 20 (19,544 sq ft) and 21 (19,123 sq ft) at an undisclosed rent. The company’s new open plan workspace is being designed to increase efficiency by facilitating better communication and faster decision making, while promoting collaboration and focused working amongst employees. Fit-out is due to commence early in the New Year.
Kraft Heinz made the decision to relocate its European and UK headquarters to central London to strengthen the company’s dynamic culture, which is based on meritocracy, speed and efficiency. The Shard was selected for its strong transport links and the wealth of nearby amenities – both inside the building and in the surrounding neighbourhood – that will benefit the business and its employees. Kraft Heinz is the third Shard occupier to relocate to the building from outside London, following in the footsteps of Foresight and Sage.

Only 59,000 sq ft of office space remains in The Shard, which means that London Bridge Quarter is now 96% let.
The Shard will provide us with a dynamic open-office layout that will facilitate better communication, faster decision making, greater focus and collaboration. The Shard’s light-filled office space with its remarkable views will also provide a truly inspiring workplace for the Kraft Heinz employees based at our headquarters. However, we are also excited to be joining the lively business community within The Shard and will take advantage of the raft of amenities on our doorstep, from Borough Market to The View from The Shard. The Shard has played an instrumental role in the transformation of London Bridge, which has undergone a significant change over the last 15 years. London Bridge station has received significant investment including the remodelling of the concourse to accommodate increased footfall.
