Shard Quarter Team Help Pack 50,000 Meals at The Shard
Hosted by Protiviti, over 300 occupiers from The Shard packed meals for the global ‘i on Hunger’ initiative with support from the Shard Quarter Team.
The one day event on 10th November contributed to global consulting firm and The shard occupier, Protiviti, achieving its five million meals milestone for the global ‘i on Hunger’ programme, which delivers meals to the hungry in more than 30 countries.
In partnership with Rise Against Hunger, and supported by the Shard Quarter Team and The Shard occupiers Sapphire Systems and The Office Group, further employees from Khazanah, Al Jazeera, Kraft Heinz, Robert Half, Dods Group, Duff and Phelps, HCA Healthcare, Mathys & Squire, Greenberg Traurig, Medical Protection Society, REM, Gallup and Campari all joined Protiviti to collectively pack 50,000 meals during five one-hour sessions.
According to the World Food Programme, one in nine people around the world currently suffer from hunger or malnutrition. Since the i on Hunger program began three years ago, Protiviti has worked with more than 100 non-profit organisations in 21 of the countries where the firm has offices to provide nutritious meals for people facing hunger.

Protiviti also collected food donations for local homeless centre, the Manna Centre.
